Bridget Radakovich, a patient at the Mt. Alto sanatorium, has returned to that institution after a 15-days' vacation spent at home here.

Leonard Staisey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Staisey, of North Duquesne ave - who is attending the School for the blind in Pittsburgh, spent the Christmas and New Year with his parents.

Mr. And Mrs. Hugo Johnson and son, who motored to Duquesne from Kenosha, Wis., arriving here December 24 to visit Mrs. Johnson's parents, Mr. And Mrs. Edward Goltz of 129 South Fifth street over the Christmas holidays, left this week for their home. Mrs. Johnson was formerly Miss Emelia Kreisel, a music teacher of Duquesne. The visitors from the west also visited Mrs. Johnson's sister, Mrs. Charles Simms of McKeesport and renewed many old acquaintances during their stay here.

Miss Ruth Schorr of Wilmot street was a recent visitor in Lincoln Place.

Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Rickard and family of West Grant avenue spent the week end visiting relatives in Charleroi.

Miss Helen Baron of Homestead was a New Year's Day visitor at the home of A. Decello of West Grant avenue.

Mrs. Mark Andrews and children, former Duquesne residents now residing in Whitaker, visited Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ackerman of near West Grant avenue.

Clay Wilson of Elwood City visited his mother here during the recent holiday vacation.

Frank Eismont, a high school graduate of '31, now employed on a weekly publication in Imperial, Pa., spent the holidays with his parents in South Fifth street.

Mrs. Michael Andrews and family removed their residence from Seward street to Ross street this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Gus Mertz and daughter Anna Marie of forrest Hills, visited at the home of Mrs. Emma Urben of South Fifth street on New Years Day.

Mrs. Lena Oxford of Portage, Pa., visited her children in Duquesne over the holidays.

Paul Seltman of Cincinnati, O., visited his mother in South Sixth street during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Miller of Youngstown, O., visited their parents in Duquesne over the New Year's vacation.

Miss Dolores Bach of West Grant avenue returned home this week after spending a few days with her sister.

Miss Helen Via, who is making her home with her step-brother and wife, Rev. and Mrs. R. A. Graybill of Crawford avenue, has returned after spending the holidays with her mother Mrs. C. A. Via of Clifton Forge, Va.

Born--To Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Berta of Overland avenue, an eight pound baby boy on Wednesday, at the home of Mrs. Berta's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Young in Munhall. The new arrival is the couple's first child. Both mother and babe are getting along splendidly.

Walter Shultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Shultz of Lincoln avenue, underwent an operation for acute appendicitis Tuesday night at 11 o'clock at the McKeesport hospital. He is reported as improving nicely.

Born--To Mr. and Mrs. Roy Topley, Friendship avenue, a baby girl, Saturday morning in the Painter Memorial hospital, McKeesport. The newborn has been named Mary Jane.

Michael Cooley of Oak street is a patient in the West Penn hospital, of Pittsburgh, to which institution he was removed last Saturday.

Miss Elizabeth Harvey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Harvey of Richford street, returned this week to Ursinus college to resume her studies after spending the holidays with her [family.]

Among Duquesneites confined to their home with attacks of the "flu" are Mrs. Charlotte Anderson of Ferndale avenue; Mrs. Sadie Hunt of Catherine street and Mrs. Viola Travis of Duquesne View.

Mrs. Bertha Bashford of West Grant avenue is ailing with an infected foot.

Mrs. Elizabeth Reckley of Duquesne View who has been ill for a long period with rheumatism, is reported as unimproved.

Mrs. Flora Koehler of North Fourth street is confined to her home with foot trouble.

Mrs. Sara Farrell of North Second street, who has been on the sick list, is somewhat improved.

Mrs. Howard Madeira of North Duquesne avenue, who has been ill at her home for the past several weeks is reported improving.

Miss Alice Wise of 19 North Third street, a student at Junior high school, has been confined to her home for the past two weeks with a severely burned foot. It is probable that she will be unable to return to school for another month.

Scotty Lindsay who has been ill with the "flu" is able to be about again.
