Roy used to prepare a big Sunday breakfast for the family while Anne and the children were at Mass.

As a lineman for Duquesne Light, Roy performed the first pole-top resuscitation to save a co-worker's life. The saved man later worked as an orderly in the same hospital as Roy's daughter.

Mom remembers a Joseph Ryan who was a cousin of some sort to Pappap.

Played the bugle in the American Legion drum and bugle corps. Brother Dick played the drum. Wayne Weinstein's dad was the drum major and chaplain. They used to march in parades, even going to Washington, D.C.

1929 - Anne and Roy lived in a house on Zewe Street (the alley at the end of Annie and Bernard's property) when they first married. It was a duplex and Anne's sister Betty lived in the other side. The house at 135 Friendship Street was originally intended to be built for Jim and Margaret, but thoses plans fell through and Anne and Roy built the house in 1929-30. The mortgage was for $8,500 at 5% interest, dated Sept 16, 1930.54 Aunt Betty and her husband again lived in the other half of the house.1, 13 Nov 1996
