Notes for Ildafonse McDermott

Ildafonse was named for a cousin of the family, Jane Flackerty, who became a Mercy nun named Sister Ildafonse. Ildafonse's brother Jim's sister-in-law Mary named her daughter Jane in remembrance of Ildafonse. My mother was named for them.
Annie Butler blamed my grandmother for the death of Ildafonse because she had been playing cards with two boys who also came down with the fever.^{1, 12 Oct 1996}
