1861 - living in parish of New Monkland, parliamentary burgh of Airdrie at 10 Johnston Street. Enumeration district described as follows: "Comprehending all the Houses on the East side of Forsyth St. to the North East corner all the houses extending from said corner along the South side of Flownhill(?) to the Coal Road - all the houses on the West side of the Coal Road to the corner and all the houses from the said corner extending along the North side of Clark St. to the South East corner of Forsyth St. this district comprehends North Nimmas Lane and all that part of Johnston St. lying to the east of Forsyth St."
